Is niacinamide a good choice for menopausal skin?
Short answer
It can be useful for some people, but concentration, formula, and your skin’s current tolerance matter more than the ingredient name.
Full answer
Is niacinamide a good choice for menopausal skin?
Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 used in formulas aimed at barrier support, uneven tone, oil balance, and visible redness. It is not a hormone and does not treat the menopause transition itself.
A lower-strength, simple formula is often easier to assess than a crowded product with many active ingredients. Patch testing can reduce the chance of applying a new irritant to the whole face, although it cannot guarantee zero reaction.
