Routine & cleansing

Should I moisturise while my skin is still damp?

Short answer

Applying a tolerable moisturiser to slightly damp skin can reduce the immediate feeling of dryness, but it is not mandatory.

Moisturisers can help slow water loss and improve comfort. Applying one soon after washing may leave less time for water to evaporate, especially when the skin feels tight after cleansing.

Damp does not mean dripping wet, and more product is not always better. If a moisturiser stings, causes a rash, or makes you feel hotter, stop and reassess the formula rather than forcing the timing.
